ABOUT HATTIE

"A pilgrim, deeply committed and highly trained, on her own path to perfection” - Leonard Cohen

Hattie is a singer-songwriter-harpist.

Leonard Cohen called her first solo album 'To The Bone’ “Flawless, uplifting and utterly original”.

In their band ‘The Webb Sisters’, sisters Hattie and Charley have released three albums, receiving ‘Single and Record of the Week’ on iTunes and BBC Radio Two.  Their song ‘Baroque Thoughts’ won The International Music Award for ‘Best Adult Contemporary Song’ and was produced by multiple Grammy Award winner Peter Asher.

The Webb Sisters were chosen by Leonard Cohen to be in his band on his international comeback tour, performing over 400 concerts around the world to 4 million people between 2008 and 2013.

Hattie has previously collaborated with Sting, Gotye, Glen Hansard, Steve Martin & Edie Brickel, Rick Rubin, The Avett Brothers & Natalie Maines and is featured on five of Leonard Cohen’s albums, also playing for HRH Queen Elizabeth II and The Spanish Royal Family at The Prince of Asturias Awards.

In 2017 Hattie and Charley joined Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers singing with them on their 40th anniversary tour.

In celebration of the ‘To The Bone’ album release, a live music event was held at St James's Piccadilly in London on Friday 19th May 2017 alongside Hattie’s collaborator and sound engineer Marcel van Limbeek (Tori Amos) who recorded, engineered and mixed the album.

Hattie’s cover of ‘Rhythm of the Night’ produced by Archbirds has had over 3 million streams.

In early 2019, Hattie and Charley recorded with The Lumineers on their new record ‘III’ and went on to perform with them at The O2 Arena in November. The Webb Sisters received the 2019 Maynooth University Ireland Award for Arts and Culture.

Hattie is currently working on her second solo album ‘Wild Medicine’ in collaboration with Mike Campbell, Ron Blair, Roscoe Beck, Stephen Barber, Patrick Leonard and Paul Kelly.
